We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Hydraulic Mechanic to join our team. This individual will be responsible for assembling and mounting hydraulic valves, fabricating and installing hydraulic hoses, and performing system installations on construction equipment and trucks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on mechanical experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and mount hydraulic valves and related components.
  • Fabricate, crimp, and install hydraulic hoses for various applications.
  • Install hydraulic systems and components on construction equipment and trucks.
  • Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Test, diagnose, and troubleshoot hydraulic systems to ensure proper operation.
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on hydraulic components.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with shop supervisors and other team members to complete projects on time.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience working with hydraulic systems, valves, and hoses.
  • Proficiency in reading hydraulic schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience using hydraulic hose crimping equipment and installation tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, shop equipment, and hand/power tools safely.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Welding and fabrication experience a plus.
Work Environment

  • Shop and field-based work with exposure to heavy equipment.
  • Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Some overtime may be required based on project schedules.
