We are seeking skilled and motivated IV/TPN Pharmacy Technicians to join a closed-door long-term care pharmacy in Plymouth, MI. This is a 6-month assignment with the potential to extend up to one year, and even transition to a permanent hire for local candidates. Travelers are encouraged to apply.
Position Details:
Start: ASAP
Duration: 6 months (possible 1-year contract or contract-to-hire)
Schedule: Monday Friday, rotating weekends/holidays
First shift: 10:00 AM 7:30 PM or 12:00 PM 8:30 PM
Second shift:3:00 PM 11:30 PM
System: Frameworks
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and compound IV medications, including TPNs, following USP 797 sterile compounding standards
Perform dose calculations and maintain sterile technique
Complete IV mixing records and ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained, and operational
Program infusion pumps and manage supply orders
Enter IV orders accurately into the pharmacy system
Support pharmacy operations with equipment tracking, supply management, and adherence to safety protocols
Collaborate with the IV Manager and pharmacy team to ensure quality patient care
Requirements:
Active MI Pharmacy Technician license in good standing (PTCB certification preferred)
Minimum of 6 months of recent sterile compounding/IV experience (hospital or home infusion acceptable; must have spent at least 3040% of workday compounding IVs)
At least 1 year of IV/TPN compounding experience strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, aseptic technique, and compounding standards
Computer proficiency and strong math/analytical skills
