Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Job Purpose:
Production supervisor manages day-to-day departmental operating processes. They delegate tasks, aiming to boost performance to facilitate company growth. Provide close coordination with Manufacturing, Quality Control and Scheduling for machine setup, preventative maintenance, machine repair, productivity, and projects on 2nd shift. Support company in meeting safety and quality goals as well as customer commitments for accurate, on-time delivery of product through manufacturing controls, policy development and team leadership. Responsibilities will also include leading, training, and development of production personnel. This includes the monitoring and improving of efficiency and effectiveness across operations. Lead the technical staff to optimize operator/machine effectiveness to drive Operational Excellence where Quality of product and process are critical.

Essential Functions:
*Drive the mantra Safety, Quality, and Productivity
*Responsible for all aspects of the packaging of fragrance products according to Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) for branded products, which includes planning, scheduling, and executing the requirements.
*Manage production and become an expert in ERP system.
*Responsible for directing the staff in the maintenance of production equipment and facility.
*Prepare operation schedules and ensures production staffing is adequate to support the production schedule.
*Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
*Is responsible for managing and coordinating all activities and ensuring complete and accurate documentation.
*Is responsible for all safety incidents and quality deviations that occur during manufacturing and responsible for the thorough investigation and timely reporting of such.
*Troubleshoot production problems, document findings, and implement solutions while providing all information to Management for risk assessment.
*Support product development group in activities required to support the introduction of new products.
*Writes, revises, and trains on Standard Operating Procedures within the department.
*Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to support continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence and maximize efficiency.
*Clearly communicates with subordinates and superiors any directions, issues, etc.
*Trains, evaluates, and disciplines personnel. Maintain training programs in compliance.
*Lead, coach and motivate manufacturing team.
*Complete other duties and tasks as assigned.
*Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
1.Bachelor"s Degree in mechanical engineering a plus or equivalent related field from an accredited institution (experience will be considered in place of college degree).
2.Minimum of 2-5 years" experience in a Manufacturing supervisory capacity with air, electro-mechanical and precise tooling production floor.
3.Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Bilingual (Spanish)
4.Experience in people management, manufacturing, and project management.
5.Minimum of three (3) years" experience directing skilled maintenance personnel in a high volume, highly automated diverse manufacturing environment.
6.Experience with the following perfume fill and assembly equipment platforms a significant plus: Volumetric filling machine, auto labeling machine, Cellophane wrap machines, sample vial filling/carding/carton machines.

Technical:
1.Must have strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office products.
2.Must have knowledge of manufacturing operations including industrial electrical/mechanical systems associated with high-speed-filling processes.
