SENIOR ACCOUNTANT/HR GENERALIST

Direct Hire role with our client located in Pittsburgh, PA (north east suburbs).

Work Environment: On-site M-F, Hours 8:30am-5pm

Team player and detail-oriented Accountant/HR professional needed for well-established private company, flexible and willing to wear many hats and backup colleagues and/or other employees when needed.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee monthly sales commissions reports and payments
• Preparation of closings from month-end through year-end including adjusting journal entries and financial statements. Prepare notes to be included in quarterly and year-end financial statements
• Analyze financial statements and actual-to-budget variances monthly
• Assist with preparation of monthly business activity reports, financial forecasts and annual budgets
• Lead cycle count program
• Assist with financial review for quarterly BOD meetings
• Biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried professionals
• Assist with system upgrade and enhancements to reporting
• Primary contact and administrator for benefits, 401K and PTO tracking
• Other HR duties include coordination of temp/labor staffing, onboarding, performance reviews, employee engagement, etc.

 

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, & REQUIREMENTS

• B.S. in Accounting
• 5+ years of related accounting experience, with background in G/L and financial reporting
• Payroll and HR experience are highly desired, yet for the right person these skills can be learned
• Strong understanding of need for confidentiality, attention to detail and ability to work well with people with across the organization, including sales and operations
• Proficient in automated accounting systems/ERP, and Excel
• Experience using a payroll/HRIS system such as ADP, Paychex or Paylocity is a plus
