Floor & Decor Senior Designer This role offers a minimum base pay starting at $16.78 per hour, with higher starting pay based on experience. Purpose: As a Floor & Decor Senior Designer, you will lead our design team and provide seamless, start-to-finish consultative design services that foster lasting relationships and build brand loyalty. Responsibilities include meeting with customers, understanding their project needs, educating them on project requirements, and creating design concepts that reflect their personal style, lifestyle, and budget. Minimum Eligibility Requirements: Design education (BA or AA in Interior Design) or 6 years of interior design experience in lieu of formal education Combination of education and experience totaling 6 years Preferred: prior retail/sales experience Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus Proficient in basic mathematical skills Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office Internal candidates must have 24 months of experience as a Floor & Decor Designer Essential Functions: Build and maintain relationships with residential and professional customers Greet customers and support store design needs Schedule and conduct design appointments, develop clientele through networking and referrals Advise customers on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for residential and commercial projects Design and sell complete solutions, managing multiple projects with accuracy and timeliness Communicate effectively with customers and team members Use company communication tools proficiently Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation Support company initiatives and stay updated on design trends Utilize design applications like Salesforce and proprietary scheduling tools Participate in professional affiliations such as ASID, NKBA Perform other duties as assigned Working Conditions: Limited travel by car may be required Exposure to warehouse environments and moving vehicles; noise levels are moderate to noisy Physical/Sensory Requirements: Medium Work Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally; handle and feel with hands and fingers; stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
