Job Description

Overview System Era’s Social Media Manager will take ownership over our studio’s approach to social media, as well as creative, execution, and publication of content for both our studio and game brands. Are there new platforms we should be checking out? Is the studio doing something really cool internally that we want to broadcast to the world? How are we going to announce the next Astroneer update? We are looking for a thoughtful social media manager who can take an idea from just a concept to a fully-fledged multi-platform campaign. Come help us navigate the ever-changing digital waters to craft and deliver thoughtful messages that reflect our studio culture, values, and the tone of our games. While many on the team work in a hybrid model, with regular time spent onsite at our studio in Seattle, WA, System Era supports a variety of work routines to match the needs of our studio, including permanent remote work within the US and Canada only through an Employer of Record. The base salary range for this position is $105,000 - $115,000 depending on the skills and experience of the candidate. Responsibilities Define and implement an innovative plan for System Era's social media strategy by evaluating current and emergent opportunities in the social media landscape. Create engaging and relevant content for System Era, Astroneer, and Starseeker channels on BlueSky, Twitter/X, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and more. Maintain safe and welcoming environments on our social media channels. Identify and capitalize on emergent events and trends in a timely and effective manner, while keeping true to the values and voice of System Era and our games. Maintain a robust social media calendar to track which posts go out when and on what channels, and how they’ve performed. Produce and present regular reports on community growth and engagement, and propose improvements based on those findings to internal teams Collaborate with the Marketing & Comms, Quality Assurance, and Customer Support teams to represent the voices of players and current sentiment to your peers in the broader studio. Collaborate with Community Manager to build and maintain relationships with members of our community and potential community partners. Requirements Demonstrable experience creating and executing on social media campaigns for video games or other entertainment. Deep understanding of social media management tools and platforms (BlueSky, Twitter/X, Reddit, YouTube, Instagram, Tumblr, Snapchat, Facebook, etc.) and how each can be leveraged to achieve our goals. Experience working on games that receive regular updates long after they are released. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in our primary business language (English). A passion for building and sustaining thriving communities of players. Experience using tracking tools to evaluate performance of social media content. Ability to work individually on a project from concept to execution or in a team environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Nice To Have Ability to capture and edit compelling video and still content in our games and at our studio to create assets for use on social media platforms. Ability to independently create 2D promotional assets for use on social media platforms.
