  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to guide decisions and ensure adherence to the Liberty Mutual Enterprise Well-Architected Framework.
  • Establish and maintain enterprise-wide architecture standards, methodologies, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Act as a thought leader within the architecture discipline, influencing senior leadership and promoting architectural excellence across the organization.
  • Coordinate with architects and external teams to identify, communicate, and mitigate technical dependencies and risks.
  • Support business-technology roadmaps by effectively communicating technical risks and considerations to diverse stakeholders.
  • Partner with the USRM Frontier team on policy migration
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of software engineering and architectural principles, with a bachelor’s degree and 10 years of related experience.
  • Proficient in software engineering languages, tools, and emerging technologies, with preference for experience across legacy, current, and new technologies.
  • Experience with data migration strategies and a strong understanding of layered solution designs and security concepts.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of technical architecture components and emerging architectural concepts and principles.
  • In-depth understanding of business operations, objectives, global technology trends, and the financial services industry.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, facilitation, and consensus-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • An ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and present complex ideas clearly both verbally and in writing.

Candidates with the following will be given preference:

  • Experience in the insurance domain, including Policy Administration Systems, Claims, and Underwriting.
  • Background in IBM/MQ/CICS technologies or involvement in legacy-to-cloud modernization initiatives.
  • Proficiency with event-driven architectures such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, Gemini) and the capability to strategically recommend GenAI patterns and tools aligned with team objectives.
